Some people want to take care of a dog that needs special care bc they like that they need to depend on them. Some like really energetic dogs and so on.

I have had many gerbils over the past years, all of which I have had until they died(most from old age). But the weirdest thing has happend to my 4 year old name Peanut Butter. He is getting very old and one day he just started to not use his right back leg. And he is obviously not in any pain at all. But he also still cleans it, he takes very well care of it. What has happened? After over 20 gerbils this is not what I consider to be normal.
